Studio One

Studio One is our rolling artist opportunity to rent a studio at Art Space Portsmouth for short periods of between two to four months, depending on needs.

Our next open call is now open for applications for February 2025 onwards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for artists wanting a studio space to start or complete a project; to test ideas and develop new work; or see if having a dedicated space would help your practice, without the worry of making a big commitment.

The opportunity to have an exhibition in our gallery at the end of the residency

Deadline for applications:
Midnight Thursday 16th January 2025

This new application round will initially select an artist(s) for the first part of 2025, and potentially further into the year. So if you can’t start in February don’t worry, please do apply and if successful you will be scheduled for later in the programme.
This opportunity is open to artists at all stages of their career, and we are dedicated to helping emerging artists get a step on the ladder.
