A Sea Of Chalk is an exhibition delving into the Cocking Lime Works Chalk Quarry located in the South Downs, West Sussex. The exhibition explores themes of human/non-human interaction, archipelagic thought and site. The goal of the works is to develop a nuanced understanding of the site through the exploration of wide stretching theories. Ranging from cultural ecology and insular biogeography to materiality and presence, the works use a conscious array of material to inform an understanding of this unique industrial landscape.’
